KYOP stands for Keep Your Own Phone. With Straight Talk’s Keep Your Own Phone program, you can get Straight Talk service on your current phone, as long as it is compatible with our KYOP program. Compatible phones include AT&T Compatible phones, T-Mobile Compatible phones, Sprint Compatible Phones, as well as most GSM and CDMA Unlocked phones.

To check if your phone is compatible, visit stbyop.com, select “Check Compatibility,” and follow the steps, or text “KYOP” TO 611611 from your mobile device.?

Select “Activate” and follow the steps. Make sure to select the correct option if you want to keep your number. Please note that you will need a Straight Talk Service Plan Card or credit or debit card to activate your service.?
